Why choose small consulting

Emma Chittenden, a middle aged white woman, found with a small dog and laughing out loud

Summary

You might be asking yourself, why would I choose you over big consulting?

You might be asking yourself, why the f*ck would I want to hire a single consultant over the big shiny consulting org who’ve been kissing your ass solidly for months.

Fair.

You won’t find me on a golf course (the dog would chase the balls 🤭), or schmoozing you at some glossy conference (unless I’m on the stage sharing my smarts with you), or taking you out for a Michelin starred lunch with a wine menu (why waste an awesome meal doing business?).

Here are the things that I care about, that make me a WAY better option.

Big consulting cares about billable hours I care about solving the problem as fast and efficiently as I can, so you can get on with running your business.

Big consulting sucks your business knowledge dry, then charges you more to tell you what you already know I want to help you understand your problem better with a fresh set of eyes and a new set of skills, leaving it better than when we started.

Big consulting will tell you everything you’re doing wrong, without ever showing you how to put it right I care about helping you understand the why of your problem, not the who.

Big consulting promises the earth, but the budget runs dry before anything is delivered I’m here to help you understand your problems better, and how you could solve them. I give you a map to follow which means you have greater visibility of how things get delivered.

Big consulting will sell you the earth but deliver an orange on a cocktail stick I give you realistic visionary (don’t you love a good paradox?) I’ll show you what you should really be aiming for that’s still bold, but totally doable.

I'm more agile (with a little a) and less concerned about what job title I've got, and more concerned with solving problems.
